Problem
Contents of international logistics standardization management
International logistics involves many enterprises in different countries, regions, and industries. If each enterprise and each country conducts trade activities according to its own standards, it will inevitably lead to disordered international trade activities, making international logistics unable to be smoothly realized. Therefore, establishing a standardized system for international logistics is a basic requirement for realizing the internationalization and efficiency of logistics business.
International standards refer to “standards formulated by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), as well as certain standards stipulated by international organizations and other international organizations published by the ISO.” ISO is currently the world's largest and most authoritative international standardization agency. The standards it develops are mostly based on common issues within the Internet. Currently, there are more than 9,000 standards. The proportion of product standards in the standards is increasing year by year, and the content of the standards mainly extends to computers, information processing, energy, environment, aerospace, medical and health, agricultural products, and food.
The international logistics standardization system includes standardization systems for internal facilities, mechanical equipment, and special tools of the logistics system, as well as work standard systems in areas related to logistics activities such as packaging, loading and unloading, transportation, and information.
